Our Eric's Virtual Writing Center aims at helping undergraduate and graduate students recognize characterisitcs of academic English such as the use of collocations, prepositions, subordinate clauses and active & passive voice. We will also help you organize your paragraphs and recognize parts of scientific abstracts. Finally, we will discuss the importance of references and citations, peer correction and how to avoid plagiarism.

 

Aqui, alunos do curso de Licenciatura em Letras da Unesp, S.J. do Rio Preto, apresentarão tópicos específicos da escrita acadêmica em língua inglesa e discutirão aspectos que devem ser levados em conta ao se escrever textos acadêmicos como o uso de colocações, preposições, orações subordinadas e uso da voz passiva. Também serão apresentadas questões como  a organização de parágrafos em textos acadêmicos e as partes dos resumos científicos, ou  abstracts. Por fim, serão discutidos tópicos relevantes como citações e referências, correção por pares e como se evitar o plágio.
